Marina Barrage

The Marina Barrage is a 350m wide dam built at the confluence of five rivers across the Marina Channel to create Singapore's first urban reservoir. It boosts Singapore's water supply, alleviates flooding in low-lying areas, and provides a new lifestyle attraction and venue for recreational activities. 

The Barrage is designed with environmentally friendly principles in mind and incorporates a roof garden, solar panels, and a rainwater collection system in the building. 

The fountain and community Water Playground are popular spots in the Marina Barrage. The Green Roof is accessible via a lift inside the main complex, or visitors can walk up through its beautifully arced looping pathway.

PUB Content 1 PUB, a statutory board of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment MSE is. This is Singapore's national water agency. It manages Singapore's water supply and water catchment. As the nation's coastal protection agency, PUB assumed responsibility for protecting Singapore's coast from rising sea levels. PUB ensures a diverse and reliable supply of water to Singapore through the Four National Taps, import water, NEWater, desalinated, and local catchment waters.

PUB coordinates all government efforts to safeguard Singapore against rising sea levels and manage coastal and inland flood risk. Everybody is invited to take part in water conservation, keeping waterways clean and caring for Singapore s water resources. We can all contribute to ensuring that there is enough water available for our daily needs, whether we are working in commerce or industry. PUB's corporate logo was created as one unit with all elements arranged in a locked-in relationship.

After the PUB had regulated the electricity and gas industry, it was redesigned in 2016. The symbol of the PUB, the three swirls that form an elliptical shape and represent the water cycle, are elements of the new logo. Three swirls signify the major PUB functions, namely water services, drainage, and sewerage. Three different colors of blue are used to represent water types: seawater, recycled water NEWater, and catchment.

The acronym Public Utilities Board is the basis of the name style PUB. The unit is simple and symbolic of the efficient, fluid water resource management that the organization is known for.
