Went on a Sunday and is fortunately not very crowded. The whole place isn’t very big but there are actually a lot to see, especially if you interested to know about the Peranakan people and their culture. I really enjoyed my visit to the Peranakan Museum! The galleries are beautifully curated, with vibrant displays of Peranakan fashion, jewellery and dyed fabrics. Totally worth coming for a stroll and learn about the rich Peranakan culture. I think it basically means south Asian mixture of Chinese, Indian and Malay culture. I find interesting the list of sponsors. Not packed if you go early afternoon.

We got in by 1.30pm to sign up for the free guided tour. (daily 11am and 2pm) Turned out to be the best thing ever for our family of 6. 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 seniors on wheelchairs. The Peranakan Museum is a wonderful museum about the Peranakan culture. If culture, people, and traditions are your cup of tea, you should come and see this museum. Really cool and informative museum with huge, multi-floor permanent and temporary exhibitions display. What charms there most, are its beautifully crafted architectural interiors along with great variety of original historical exhibits, artifacts, documents and photographs. Well done indeed!

Lovely place to visit. It was free entry for Gardens by the Bay members. The building itself is beautiful. I enjoyed the batik display and stories, the various artifacts, furniture and crockery. There were free sticker booklets and colouring activities for kids as well. Visitors were given free bookmarks with batik designs.
