I had a wonderful dining experience at Shao Restaurant. The dishes were perfectly executed, fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and presented with great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming ambience, ma... see more

The vegetables and kuay teow had an excellent wok hey, really fragrant and flavorful. The kuay teow is best enjoyed piping hot. The pumpkin soup, however, was a little on the bland side, and I was hoping the pork trotter portion could have been a bit more generous. That said, it was still an enjoyable dinner overall. To top it off, the orh nee was ... see more

Having previously enjoyed their food at the Frankel Avenue branch, I was excited to visit this location. Compared to the Frankel branch, the ambience here is notably cozy and relaxing. The skylight combined with the abundant plant decor truly elevates the dining experience beyond just the great food.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I also tried raw mud crab with eggs for the first time — it was absolutely fantastic! I couldn’t believe how good it tasted. I’ll definitely be coming back for both the raw crab and the grilled crab — both were incredibly impressive. The vegetables and pork dishes were fairly ordinary, nothing parti... see more

Our server, Joe was attentive and paid attention to our orders with special requirements for some dishes. He also proactively topped up our tea and assisted throughout dinner. Wenru brought us birthday cakes ... see more

The Teochew cuisine here is truly authentic, and the service is excellent as well. This is by far the best Teochew food I’ve had in Singapore. I especially recommend the seafood porridge and the crab — both are outstanding. Even the traditional yam paste dessert was perfectly done and tasted just like the real thing.

Had a really lovely experience here. The ambience is bright and welcoming, especially the seats inside where the sunlight comes in from the roof — it feels warm, comfortable, and relaxing in the afternoon. I am impressed that the service was very fast. We tried the weekday value set for two ($68++) and every dish was delicious: • Braised Combinati... see more

Book your table especially during weekend. Tried the Raw crab here. It’s my first time eating raw crab, surprisingly not fishy at all but I feel a bit salty and if you do not like garlic , this might not a great dish for you. The seafood porridge is super yummy! The texture of the rice is soft and crispy. it is full of seafood. And taste really goo... see more
