As a Japanese person, I must say that this is the one restaurant I really don’t want anyone to trust. The the menu compared with the photos is nothing short of a scam. Had an amazing experience at Shinya Izakaya! The dishes were delicious, especially the grilled skewers and ramen. The place has a cosy, welcoming vibe and the service was excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for authentic Japanese food in Singapore!

Restaurant on Boat Quay offering food from 3 different restaurants to the same tables (Japanese, Chinese/seafood, and Singaporean). Food was decent, not the most authentic I ever had. Service was also decent, little slow. Beer list was great for Singapore, had some craft beer selections. Overall, decent Boat Quay restaurant.

The volcano sushi simply melts in mouth. The wagyu beef is so good and fresh. And the cheese tonkatsu is amazing. Special thanks to the fantastic service. Will come again.

Booked Shinya Izakaya at Boat Quay in the evening. Staff attended to us and were friendly and attentive. We ordered some Japanese steak and sashimis. Their sashimis served were fresh and delicious. Super friendly and attentive staff. They have a No Good No Pay policy! Sashimi was fresh, sweet scallops. We enjoyed our time catching up with colleagues. Cosy place.

Had a pleasant dining at shinya izakaya. Opening till 3am daily offered alot of flexibility for us, office workers who does overtime. the food was fresh and tasty. The service and ambience was great. Would be coming back
