Visited Straits Kitchen on a weekend lunch buffet after its long hiatus and reopen in Aug2024. Previously, the restaurant was located on the 2nd level facing the main Scotts road, now they have shifted to level 1 middle. They serves tasty cuisines but the service was not really good. The chefs and cooks are friendly though. The foods were authentic, especially the Laksa and the Indian food.

Pretty good halal buffet that has a decent selection and spread, but I think the smaller spread is countered by the quality of the dishes served. Been quite some time since i'm here. lots of variety and some stood out. ~ The duck was very nicely done. Pop over and got the chef to cut some pcs for us. Amazing selection of food here. Everything was good, I only wish I had more stomach space! There was a satay grilling station, too. It's truly worth coming at least once.

Straits kitchen was refurbished when Grand Hyatt was renovated recently. Has a good variety of deliciously cooked local foods. All cooked and presented nicely. Have been several times and certainly did not disappoint. Staff were also attentive and friendly!
