Question:
Answer:
I'm thinking of heading there for lunch. How early should I get there to beat the queue??
To snag a spot without a crazy wait, aim to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before they open for lunch. The early bird gets the unagi!

Question:
Answer:
Hey, is it true Man Man's unagi is charcoal-grilled? Does that make a difference??
Totally! Man Man uses binchotan charcoal, which burns super clean and hot. That gives the unagi a smoky flavor and crispy skin while keeping the inside nice and soft. It's the real deal!

I remember this place had always a queue a few years back so I never got to try it. But went on a Saturday evening and I must say the unagi was damn good. Service was super fast - which means tables turn very fast too. Rustic atmosphere 1 Star – Terrible: Extremely disappointing. Poor taste, bad texture, and low quality. 2 Stars – Poor: Edible ... see more

Short walk from Outram park MRT exit 4 (can walk through the park). Ordered the hitsumabashi unagi set (large) - delicious and loved the fresh wasabi that goes well with the unagi and rice. Tasty meal, would return. However not a place to hang out for too long as there may be a dining time limit.

The unagi was decent, with the exception of the unatama kimo don and the bone crackers. The service line (waitress) should improve their services. Especially The woman who is wearing black glasses is constantly conversing with the kitchen staff while standing at the windows, and it's evident that the kitchen staff was busy.

Delicious grilled unagi with great smoky flavour. We tried the Ladies Set and Hitsumabushi — love the three ways to enjoy the eel! The grilled oyster was a nice surprise too. My friend mentioned they used to have fresh wasabi for self-grating, which he really misses.

2025.7.5 This is arguably one of the best unagi I have tasted. Yes, even better than the famous one at Narita town. The queue at Man Man always put me off but today, we had a late lunch… no queues! The unagi is fresh, and the layer of crispiness around it… completely elevate the experience. The rice is a tad too firm for my liking and I am glad t... see more

This is the nicest unagi I’ve ever tasted! The skin is perfectly crispy while the meat remains tender and flavourful, clearly grilled with great care over fire. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail when it melts in every bite. They also offer a smaller rice portion option which is a thoughtful touch for lighter eaters. The only... see more

A hidden gem tucked away in the park along Keong Saik Road! This small, cosy Unagi restaurant gives off the vibe of a traditional Japanese family-run eatery that is warm, intimate, and welcoming. The service was excellent from (Lan) our waitress, she was attentive, efficient, and always smiling and helped us very promptly when we had issues order... see more
