About Ngee Ann City

Ngee Ann City was opened on 21 September 1993 by Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong. It is a shopping and commercial center that houses many retail/dining outlets from high-end stores like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and two floors of Tiffany to other more budget-friendly stores like Zara, Club Monaco, or G2000. The establishment also has offices in its towers.

In addition, Ngee Ann offers many dining options from Japanese to Western to Chinese. For anyone on a budget, one can always check out the food court located at B2 of the Takashimaya department store.

When you cannot find a place for a quick bite and rest when you are tired and hungry after hours of shopping at Ngee Ann City, you may want to try your luck at this cafe as it is a little difficult to find and...therefore may still have one or two vacant tables. While the menu is somewhat limited and the place a little cramped, the food and service... see more

The chicken schnitzel was fantastic! The paella was all right. Service was pleasant & the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Will go back to try the sausages & pasta.

Nothing special about the food and with same price range you may get better food and better taste which worth every penny you may spend.

The Parma Ham & Pineapple Salad at Ambush Sausage and Pasta Bar is very refreshing and appetizing. The crispy chicken and seaweed oglio oglio is good too. Top up with an ice lemon tea and soup to have a perfect meal.

Pasta is average but the snapper fillet is really fresh and pan fried perfectly, slightly crisp on the surface yet smooth and tender. I...added $3.30 for ice tea and soup. Soup was chowder with mussels. I liked that the... see more

Good casual food at reasonable price (range $10 a $15) and best part there ain t any service charge and GST because it is situated in a food hall. I top up $4.40 for a glass of iced tea and a slice of cake. Cake is...on the dry side. The cream is good though. Note I gave an average rating. This is good not very good.

Ambush at Takashimaya s basement surprised me by its taste. Spaghetti with lobster crab set with corn soup was a good combination.

Traveling with a picky teenager saw us eating at Ambush in the basement of Takashima. The place is popular with the staff constantly running around trying to find a spot for their patrons to sit. Not easy when there is four of you. The food...was good but not fantastic and more or less what you can expect for the price range. The teenager liked the... see more
