Beginner Course Details

For pure beginners with little to no experience, our next Beginner Course for 2025 starts Oct 16. Not sure if it's for you? Try our Trial Class – sign up via the link below and discover the rhythm!

Our Salsa Cubana Beginner 1A Course Partnerwork begins Oct 16, 2025, running Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm (1.5 hrs x 4 lessons). This 6-hour course provides a comprehensive introduction to Cuban Salsa. The Trial Drop-in Class on Oct 16 costs $39 (1.5hrs). Students who pay full course rates are welcome to retake Salsa 1A for FREE within 6 months, reinforcing their foundational skills.

Our lessons are structured progressively to ensure you grasp proper social dancing techniques for both lead (man) and follow (lady) roles, covering various partnerwork patterns and footwork. By the end of the course, you'll have a solid foundation and the confidence to dance socially.

After completing Level 1A, you can progress to Level 1B and explore various workshops focusing on Body Movement & Styling, adding flair and personality to your dance.

Additional Information

No partner is needed! We rotate partners in class, making it a social and inclusive environment. Come ready to connect with others through dance.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid flip-flops; dance shoes are a worthwhile investment if you decide to continue dancing.

The fee for the trial lesson will be deducted from full course fees, making it easy to commit to the full course.

Founded in 2012 by Principal Instructor Suzana Sainol, Salsa Cubana Singapore has become the heart of Cuban style Salsa in Singapore. Specializing in Cuban Salsa and Rueda de Casino, Suzana has brought this energetic and social partner dance to life through her passion and dedication to sharing the rich cultural roots of Afro-Cuban music and dance. As a pioneer of Cuban and Afro-Cuban styles in Singapore, Suzana blends technical knowledge with cultural storytelling, offering students a deeper connection to the dance's rhythm and history, not just steps. With over 300 members in the community, Suzana and her team have cultivated a vibrant space where learning is joyful, progress is encouraged, and confidence grows.

An experienced and intuitive teacher, Suzana teaches both lead and follow roles with clarity and patience. Her ability to break down technique and musicality into accessible guidance makes her classes suitable for all levels, from first-timers to experienced dancers.
