Shake Shack

Feels like street food truck—but leveled up with premium ingredients. The burgers and hot dogs hit all the right notes. Only downside was the staff forgot our tea order and the organic tea tasted like someone waved a tea bag over water—pretty diluted. But overall, the food makes up for it.

Tried the SmokeShack today and it was awesome! The tanginess of cherry peppers went well together with applewood-smoked bacon and, of course, the famous Shake Shack's cheeseburger. Here's the thing about Shake Shack, it's just too damn consistently wholesome and satisfying. They've cracked the classic burger 🍔 with cliched-because-they-work trimmings. This branch of the Shake Shack was disappointing. Two days ago we were at the branch at One Fullerton and that was a five star experience. I was looking for the same experience, but here the meat in the SmokeShake was dry, the frites was not so crunchy. The root beer float was excellent. Personally, I don’t like burger that much but I try one in Shake Shack. It very impressed me. The table is wide and appropriate for the people who don’t like the restaurant that place only 1-2 menu and the table is quite full. Tried their New York Steakhouse Burger which came with sautéed portobello mushrooms, fried onion and horseradish peppercorn mayo. Nice burger, as usual. I’m a bigger fan of their shack burger. They have chilli, ketchup and mustard sauce as well as tap water for self service. Would want to try their beer/coffee from the tap next time!
