About VivoCity

VivoCity was established in June 2003 on the site of the Expo Gateway and Harbour Pavilion exhibition halls of the former World Trade Centre (now the HarbourFront Centre). It has 1,077,000 square feet (100,100 m2) of retail space and 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m2) of gross floor area, even bigger than Ngee Ann City and Suntec City.
Since its opening in 2006, it is currently Singapore's largest mall. It was sketched by Toyo Ito, a renowned Japanese architect.

About Us VivoCity, a landmark retail destination and entertainment location that mixes architecture and retail with a vibrant array of entertainment and retail concepts is a retail-based entertainment and lifestyle destination. The city features large, open areas for relaxation on the waterfront and entertainment. There are also a variety of festivals and other events to draw in both locals as well as foreign tourists. Design Concept VivoCity's HarbourFront location inspired the design. It evokes waves and the ocean.

The spaces flow seamlessly into each other, making shopping a pleasant experience. Toyo Ito is an internationally recognized Japanese architect who designed VivoCity. He's also the creator of Sendai Mediatheque, Japan. His signature style, which emphasizes the use and enjoyment of the natural environment, climate, and open spaces, has been a key part in the design.

VivoCity, his first major Asian project outside of Japan is a departure from traditional retail development in this region. VivoCity was awarded the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award. This award recognizes our efforts to create a better environment for shoppers. MPACT, a real-estate investment trust, was established to invest on a long-term, either directly or indirectly in an income-producing portfolio of real estate that is used for retail and office purposes. VivoCity Mid Autumn Record Breaking Event 2009 VivoCity was voted Best Shopping Centre in the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2009. ION Orchard and NEX were the other nominees.

They are a testimony to the acceptance and popularity of the nominee brand names and products among the audience. VivoCity Mid Autumn Record-Breaking event, Singapore's Largest Lantern Wall. 2010 VivoCity set a new Singapore Book of Records record for the Largest Lantern Wall. There were 1,096 lanterns that shoppers hung on the wall. This was in addition to the total of 2,267 lanterns. Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards 2014 New Media and Integrated Digital Campaigns Gold VivoCity was awarded Gold in the Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards category under New Media and Integrated Digital Campaigns.

VivoCity's digital and experiential campaign, The Great Singapore Sale 2013, Catch the VivoCity Codys, featured four huge QR code mascots that, when they were spotted by shoppers, allowed them to instantly redeem reward vouchers. Casula Mall from Australia, QueensPlaza and Highpoint from Australia as well as ION Orchard in Singapore were also finalist. One of my favorite place, nice and quality food, excellent service. The mushroom soup and bread is a must try. The grilled meat is awesome. They are very generous with the grilled mushrooms. Love the ambience and the very Swiss style dinning experience. Good gatherings...place for family and friends.

We had a wonderful lunch here! The roestis were some of the best we ve ever had. Other food was great also. But, special mention to the incredibly delicious chocolate ice cream!!!
