The Republic of Singapore Yacht Club was founded in 1826 and is the only member-owned yacht club in Singapore and the oldest in Asia. Going back more than 191 years to an elegant era when the men and officers of Stamford Raffles were their first members.
Following the tradition when the first Patron was the first Singapore President, their current Patron includes his Royal Highness Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, Professor S Jayakumar, r. Tan Cheng Bok, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean, and Dand Mr. S Iswaran.

It was founded by the Sir Stamford Raffles officers and men.
In keeping with the tradition of our first patron being the President of Singapore, the current Patrons are Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean and His Royal Highness Tunku Islam Ismail, Mr S Iswaran and Dr Tan Cheng Bok. Our August 1999 move to our new residence opened up a new chapter of our history, and provided us with a variety of amenities that we couldn't have imagined before.
It is conveniently located near West Coast Park and the intersection of West Coast Highway & Clementi Road. This location also allows easy access to the Southern Islands and Indonesia's Riau Archipelago. These are our favourite destinations for boating. Members and visitors can use our Marina for berthing or support services.
