Changi Airport’s new passenger Terminal 3 is a seven-story building. The interior architecture encompassed the four above-ground levels, Level 1 Arrivals, Level 2 Departures, Level 3 Landside Retail Mezzanine, and Level 4 Viewing Platform.
Terminal 3 provides 28 additional aerobridge gates, eight designed to service new large aircraft, the Airbus 380.
The interior architecture of the terminal applies design principles of ‘social and sensory’ elements to create a memorable airport experience, a Singaporean ‘sense of place,’ and reinforces its user-friendliness and amenity.
There is also a wide range of attractions in Changi Terminal 3 regarding nature and art: The Butterfly Garden, where almost 1,000 tropical butterflies of 40 different species live. It is the first single Butterfly Garden in an airport. Also, the Green Wall is worth looking at, and The Slide@T3 is Singapore’s world’s tallest slide in an airport 12 meters high.
