Jurong Bird Park

Formerly known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens or Mandai Zoo, The Singapore Zoo is a 28 hectares (69 acres) zoo located on the perimeter of &nbsp;Upper Seletar Reservoir within Singapore&#39;s heavily forested central catchment area. It was built for $9 million granted by the government of Singapore and opened in 1973. 
It is operated by the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which also manages the neighboring River Wonders, the Jurong Bird Park, Night safari, as well as the forthcoming Rainforest Wild Park.
