Question:
Answer:
What's the dress code like at Ginza Sushi Ichi? Should I dress up??
While there isn't a super strict dress code, most diners lean towards smart casual. Think elegant and comfortable – it’s a special dining experience, so you might want to dress the part a bit! No need for a full suit, but skip the super casual beachwear.

I don’t go to Omakase often but I feel they lived up to the expectations of Michelin 1 star. We went for the Botan Lunch Menu on a weekend. Great service and dining experience. Food quality is definitely high standard. Warm towels were provided, hot tea was changed from time to time to ensure optimal temperature. Because it’s counter seats, so you ... see more

We had the Nigiri Omakase for lunch. The standouts were definitely the Aburi Ootoro which added a layer smokiness and dimension to cut through the fattiness of the tuna. Compared to the likes of Shinji and other popular omakases in town, the flavour of the different components like the yuzu zest, red vinegar and wasabi were not too overpowering, a... see more

Food: Absolutely top-notch. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and definitely lived up to the one Michelin star hype. We left feeling completely satisfied and full. Service: Exceptional. The server kept refilling my ocha and thoughtfully explained the dishes while providing tips on how to enjoy them best, as the chef was Japanese. Despite the langua... see more

I had dinner at Ginza Sushi Ichi and it was an incredible experience. The sushi was among the best I’ve ever had, very fresh and crafted with precision. The Japanese chef was meticulous and could taste it in every bite. The soup was another highlight, rich in flavour and warmed my heart. Service was also great. the staff were attentive without bei... see more

Delicate (Sensai) Edomae sushi. Omakase with only the freshest seasonal produce. March is always a good time as it brings the spring bounty of hotaru Ika, kasugodai (young sea bream), bamboo shoots and sakura trout. Aburi toro cheek was hands-down the best bite. Wide selection of sake, good focus on Tohoku, especially Miyagi (master chef is from th... see more

Ginza Sushi Ichi truly deserves its Michelin star. Food and ambience were top notch while the Japanese sushi chef put on an amazing display of professionalism in his sushi presentation. The Omakase set with its wide variety of imported seafood will delight all sushi lovers! My favourite is the soft shell crab eaten whole in one morsel. Yummy!

Celebrated my wife's birthday and went for Botan set for both of us. Made a reservation online before coming down. We don't have Omakase often, usually for special occasions so I'm conditioned to eating Sushi with chopsticks. But eventually I was reminded by my wife on the correct way of enjoying the Sushi with our hands, instead of using their di... see more

Their seafood 🍣 like fish and clams are soooo fresh as just out of the sea. Snappers and clams are my favourite, chewy and crispy. Uni and roe rice is juicy and satisfying, with a flavour of sea water 🌊 the last piece is roasted eel, I don’t expect that is so greasy, even more fat than toro 😂 taste like cloudy candy melted in my mouth. I’m very ... see more
