Question:
Answer:
What's the latest I can rock up to Gu Zao Ren for a comforting bowl of porridge??
They're open until 9:30 PM, so you've got a decent window for a late-night porridge craving! Just make sure to get there before then to avoid disappointment.

Question:
Answer:
I'm planning to drive. Is parking a nightmare around Gu Zao Ren??
Parking can be a bit tricky along Changi Road. There are some street parking spots, but they fill up quickly. You might have better luck at the nearby public carparks, but be prepared to walk a little!

Question:
Answer:
Does Gu Zao Ren have air conditioning? It gets pretty humid in Singapore!?
Unfortunately, it doesn't have air conditioning. But hey, that's part of the old-school charm! Just dress light and enjoy the authentic experience (and maybe bring a fan if you're extra sensitive to the heat)!

Question:
Answer:
Hey! Is there usually a queue at Gu Zao Ren on weekend evenings??
Yep, especially on weekend evenings! It's super popular, so be prepared to wait a bit or head there slightly earlier to snag a spot. Trust me, the porridge is worth it!

Budget-friendly, no-frills restaurant in the east part of SG. Staff efficient. Food is generally good, and is served pretty quickly. The new Claypot Pork Trotter Bee Hoonis is so tender, literally it melts in your mouth! Parking space is limited.

The food is very delicious. especially my favorite prawn paste fried chicken and the yummy soft hot plate bean curd. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Good dinner meal place.

Came here to try their Claypot pork trotter bee hoon! Amazing to know that Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge has been feeding night owls for 53 years! With over 120 zi char dishes and the coziest $1 Taiwanese porridge you’ll ever meet. Yes, you heard that right — one dollar for the first bowl, and unlimited refills! From prawn paste chicken that is wel... see more

All of these dishes surpassed expectations as they were all very well cooked and served quickly. The staff also worked very fast to get us a table and our orders. I highly recommend this place, especial... see more

We ordered: Chai Poh Omelette, Deep Fried Pomfret with Black Bean Sauce, Claypot brinjal with minced meat and salted fish, Salted egg pork rib, Fried prawn roll, and Fresh Young Coconut. All the dishes were delicious and to my liking. They all go very well with the porridge. The ... see more

Claypot brinjal, with that wokhei infused into the dish, crispy Teochew prawn rolls, fluffy minced pork omelette, but the star dish was the Deep Fried Pomfret with Black Bean Sauce- well frie... see more

this place offers an amazing selection of food at an affordable price. The claypot flavours are well seasoned and balanced with the garnishing, offering a flavourful experience. My favourite is the sambal which was surprisingly not as oily as expected while maintaining the characteristic sambal flavour. Overall a pleasant experience and will highly... see more

We arrived just before the dinner crowd and were able to get indoor seating. It was a little confusing at first, as the restaurants seemed to share the same space (possibly connected, though we weren’t entirely sure). Not a big issue overall. Service was attentive and the food was great! We enjoyed every dish we ordered and the portion sizes were j... see more
