Zhen Zhen Porridge

I try fish porridge that served by 2 elderlies, no waiting time since not much queue - very efficient! 1 portion is $4, still normal price if compare to other places. The sliced fish were very small and they give addition of ginger. I like! Would love to come back anytime soon 🤍

A simple yet favorful childhood favourite porridge in the Chinatown area for almost 30-40 years. A true GEM in Maxwell Market. Too bad they have remove the pork porridge item from their menu. A tip when ordering your porridge, ALWAYS mention what your condiments needs or else it will be a full suite of ginger slices, sesame oil and others more.

Ordered both the fish and chicken porridge at Zhen Zhen Porridge. The portions were generous, and each bowl came packed with sliced ginger, fried shallots, and spring onions, which added a nice boost of flavour and aroma. The porridge was thick, smooth, and quite filling, but the salt level was a bit heavy for my liking.

This stall is my all time favorite and serve the best porridge in the vicinity. Lots of ingredients with very nice texture. The garnishes also enhance the flavour. The taste is consistent throughout the years

Can I say this is best best comforting porridge in whole of sg? I still can’t find one that can beat their standard. Their generous toppings and big bowl of porriage make it so worth!

got the 5$ fish and century egg porridge. such a big portion that my metal tin was almost filled to a brim. very homely bowl of porridge, remember to mix well if not it can taste saltier in some parts because of the pickled vegetables. comes with some fish bones. also a little con is if you’re not a fan of ginger there are many tiny chopped ones 😩... see more

This is definitely the best hawker centre congee in the area. The porridge is thick, silky smooth, and flavourful, easily rival some restaurants. They provide generous toppings trio - shallot in oil, spring onion and minced cai poh for extra flavour.
