About Jew Kit Hainanese Chicken Rice

Experience the authentic taste of Jew Kit Hainanese Chicken Rice, a Singaporean culinary treasure since 1992. Founded by Mr. Teo Jew Kit, this Hainanese Chicken Rice captures the essence of traditional flavors, evoking cherished memories of home-cooked meals. Each dish is prepared with a personal touch, ensuring a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Jew Kit Hainanese Chicken Rice blends tradition with innovation, inspired by the early Hainanese settlers. The menu extends beyond the classic chicken rice, featuring Claypot Curry Fish Head, Crispy Pork Belly, Handmade Otah, and Chicken Feet with Thai Sauce, making it a versatile tze char restaurant.

Customers rave about the fragrant rice, succulent chicken with its signature gelatin-like skin, and the chili-ginger sauce that elevates the flavor. The piping hot broth with yummy meatballs adds a nostalgic touch to the meal. Many recommend the Curry Fish Head for its rich flavors, the sweet and sour pork, pork chop, and tofu with minced meat.

For those who enjoy cold boiled chicken rice, Jew Kit is the place to be. The tender, juicy chicken with its melt-in-your-mouth collagen is a must-try. Other well-executed dishes include charcoal tofu, fried sweet potato, and salted egg bittergourd. The fragrant rice isn't too oily, and the chili packs a delightful punch.

The springy texture of the chicken feet is a pleasant surprise. The restaurant’s spacious and inviting atmosphere enhances the dining experience.

Visit Jew Kit at Bukit Timah, Killiney Road, Bukit Batok, and Fernvale to experience this culinary delight.

The Hainanese Chicken Rice is their signature dish and it did not disappoint. The sous vide chicken was tender, flavorful, and served cold with a light jelly layer, fragrant rice, and rich sauces. It tasted quite different from the versions in Malaysia or Thailand, in a good way. We also tried the Fried Hokkien Mee and Home-Made Crispy Prawn Roll.... see more

Very simple meals, very very tasty. Staff are polite and welcoming. The food is freshly cooked. Prices are moderate compared to bigger restaurants. Ate there on my 1st and last days in Singapore. Easily the tastiest food!

Chicken is ok. Sweet & sour pork is too soft, not crispy at all and portion is too small. The sweet potato with sour plum powder is soggy, not crispy enough. We even had to ask for more sour plum powder as they gave way too little to the extent that we could not taste the sour plum at all. The chicken rice is not firm enough, a bit too wet for my... see more

A well-executed chicken rice. Rice is moist and flavorful, steamed chicken breast was tender, soup was delicious, and the braised eggs and braised beancurd were both on point. The chilli was also excellent and paired perfectly with the chicken.

Their steamed chicken rice is the real deal. Delighted to chew into bouncy boiled skin. Even rarer, to taste so much protein jelly. Portions were just nice. Note: the meat is served cold or at room temperature. A plate of chicken rice starts from $7.30 (Set A). For more chicken meat, you can add-on for $4. Alternatively, order the “Steamed Chicken... see more

They should discard broken bowls as they are unsafe. The taro with pumpkin was excellent and not sweet. Chicken were soft and tasty. Lemongrass drink had option without added sugar which is great!! Skip the bean sprouts!
