I visited The Intan yesterday and was absolutely blown away. From the outside, the house appears modest, but the moment you step in, you’re transported into a completely different world. The owner, Alvin Yapp, is a phenomenal storyteller. Even as a Peranakan myself, I learned so much more about our culture just by listening to him share his knowle... see more

We got very lucky and did a walk in. I recommend buying tickets online ahead of time as Alvin keeps a busy schedule. From start to finish I learned more about Singapore cul... see more

Had a good visit to Mr Alvin's home museum. He was very engaging, had many stories to tell and very hospitable. Highly recommended experience to understand more about the Peranakan culture and about Southeast Asia in general. Thank you 😊

Alvin was lovely in sharing with us the Peranakan culture and willing to share stories to help us understand the culture better. He personalises his tours and answered all of our questions. He has the loveliest house with beautiful Peranakan antique. Would love to come back again!

Private Museum thats cosy and homey vibes. Host is a really cool guy and plays the piano in tune to a remix of old songs that fits the recollection of the olden days. can learn about the Peranakan history here and have a look at the items from the past. also the staircase here appears in SQ's video, pretty cool.
