Question:
Answer:
Is Tiong Shian Porridge easily accessible by public transport, or should I just grab a cab??
Getting your porridge on is super easy! Tiong Shian is conveniently located near Outram Park MRT station. A short walk will land you right at their doorstep, ready to dive into that creamy goodness. Save the cab fare for an extra plate of raw fish!

Question:
Answer:
Does Tiong Shian Porridge only serve porridge, or do they have some secret side dishes that are total must-tries??
Oh, my friend, while their namesake is legendary, don't sleep on the sides! Definitely grab an order (or two!) of their raw fish. It's super fresh and goes perfectly with the warm, comforting porridge. Trust me, it's a flavor adventure!

Chanced upon this coffee shop while walking by and was craving chicken rice. It was quite crowded, mostly for the porridge stall, but we spotted a Hainanese chicken rice stall right beside it that turned out to be pretty decent. We got half a chicken for both roasted and white - each for $10. Portions were generous and the chicken was saucy, tende... see more

Was here to watch a Cantonese opera, stop by for night snack. Porridge a little burnt at the bottom. Frogs are a little over cooked so tasted rubbery. No longer like what it used to be when I was working along here. But still very crowded & lots of tourists. Price wise $11 plus for a small pot still reasonable. Taste wise could be better if not f... see more

Tiong Shian Porridge, a humble eatery nestled near the bustling heart of Chinatown in Singapore, offers a comforting and flavorful escape. My recent visit revealed a menu brimming with delicious options, but the true stars were the frog leg clay pot, the braised tofu, and, of course, their exceptional porridge. The frog legs were incredibly tender... see more
